GULAN
GULAN is an interactive audio-visual installation that users a Playstation controller to shape sound and visuals in real time. Through a combination of experimental composition, innovative sound design, and generative visuals, Gulan offers an immersive, responsive environment that shifts and transforms based on the artist’s unique input.
Microbat
Gulan translates to micro bat in the traditional Gathang language of the Worimi people. The microbat is a totem of Worimi men that represents solidarity.

Leon Rodgers
Leon Rodgers is a multidisciplinary composer, sound artist, and proud Worimi descendant experimenting at the intersection of music, technology, and First Nations storytelling. Having previously composed for Bangarra Dance Theatre, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and most recently Vivid Sydney, Leon brings his first solo exhibition Gulan to the Brunswick Music Festival. Leon’s practice is grounded in cultural responsibility and sonic experimentation. Through his work, he aims to create spaces for reflection, transformation, and deep listening—environments where sound becomes a vessel for memory, identity, and connection.
